University Park, PA (WJAC) — Recognition of former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno has returned at Beaver Stadium.
A Paterno plaque is now part of a display on the stadium's “Wall of Honor,” which highlights the history of the head football coaches for the Nittany Lions.
In July of 2012, in the wake of the Sandusky scandal and Paterno being fired by Penn State, his statue, a popular fixture at the stadium, was taken down.
The new display was unveiled this past weekend.
