JACKSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) — Representatives from Competitive Power Ventures presented checks of a combined $30,000 Tuesday to the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Company and Police Department.
The fire company's president, Steve Yarina, says the $25,000 they've received helps take away stress from fundraising and helps the fire company focus on efficiency.
He says the funds will go toward replacing two of its fire engines by next year and buying new equipment.
The police department will use part of the $10,000 they've received to purchase new radios.
