Local wrestler, former World Champion Bo Bassett signs NIL deal

Local wrestler and former World Champion Bo Bassett announced on his social media pages that he has signed his first NIL deal with the athletic recovery company "Ice Barrel."

"I am very excited to announce I signed my first NIL deal! With how hard I train, I felt it made sense to sign my first deal with Ice Barrel. They are the leaders in recovery," Bassett said in a Tweet.

Bassett, who competes for Bishop McCort, made headlines last year after he claimed the world title at the Cadet World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary.

Bassett's deal was made possible after the PIAA recently approved a policy to allow high school athletes to earn Name, Image and Likeness deals similar to college athletes.
