Mystery snake found in Manheim, usually found thousands of miles from PA

A surprising call for one Pennsylvania animal rescue over the weekend, when a 'mystery' snake turned up in Manheim, Lancaster County.

The Forgotten Friend Animal Rescue says it got a call about the snake who had shown up in the same place four days in a row. The animal rescue says pictures indicated it was a snake usually found thousands of miles from Pennsylvania.

And sure enough, when they arrived, the reptile was a California Kingsnake. They aren't venomous and enjoy eating other snakes, including rattlesnakes and copperheads.

The pet rescue says they are looking to find the snake's owners because they believe he is an escaped pet.

They have temporarily named the snake Zeebee.
