Punxsutawney School Board approves amended charges against co-principal

Jefferson Co., PA (WJAC) — The Punxsutawney Area School District school board met Tuesday evening for a special meeting in regards to the charges against High School co-principal Paul Hetrick. The School board voted to approve an amendment to the statement of charges. York Co. kidnapping suspect in custody in Philadelphia

York County, PA — The Springettsbury Township Police Department says it was notified that Maria McKenzie was apprehended by the Philadelphia Police Department. According to police, she was taken into custody just after 5 on Friday evening. 27-year-old Maria McKenzie allegedly hopped in a running car and took off with two-year-old Mya Campbell in the back on Sunday, June 11 . Two Pittsburgh area high school seniors killed in late night shooting

Braddock, Pennsylvania — Police say two high school students are dead, and a third juvenile is in critical condition after a shooting Sunday night near Pittsburgh. Coroner IDs victim of fatal electrocution in Gregg Township

UPDATE |Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — The Centre County Coroner's Office has identified the man who was fatally electrocuted Wednesday afternoon in Gregg Township. Authorities say 19-year-old Alexander Fries, of Weedville, was working on a bucket truck along Tressler Lane when his bucket reportedly came in contact with live electrical wires. Investigators say Fries was pronounced dead at the scene by the deputy coroner. According to an autopsy, the coroner's office says Fries died as a result of being electrocuted and his death was ruled as accidental. [Read More]
