BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WJAR) — A 20-year-old man is facing charges after his 17-year-old girlfriend was found dead inside a home in Massachusetts. The "suspicious death" of Nevaeh Goddard happened Friday at a home on Great Road in Stow, according to the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office. Police were called to the home around 4:30 p.m. for a well-being check. Father receives parole for toddler daughter's dehydration death

LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — A father was sentenced to immediate parole on involuntary manslaughter of his 19-month-old daughter. According to our newsgathering partners at the Times Leader, James Robert Kasisky Jr. was sentenced to immediate parole for the Dec. 2022 death of his daughter Phoenix. Investigation showed that Phoenix was left in her room for 26 hours in a high-heat, low-humidity environment without nutrition or hydration. Park City-based US ski racers produce nude calendar to help raise funds

Five female and six male ski racers have joined together to pose in a nude calendar they hope will help them overcome high costs — and scarce funding — on the professional ski tour. In their first year of being able to compete for a state championship, the Mid-State Mustangs took home gold in Pennsylvania, and now they will go on to compete for a national championship in April. Somerset man busted with drugs, guns following traffic stop, DA says

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — According to acting Somerset County District Attorney Molly Metzgar, a Somerset man is behind bars following a late night traffic stop by state police. Officials say Connor Christner, 25, was reportedly found with heroin, cocaine, MDMA and multiple firearms late Wednesday night. Authorities say troopers conducted a traffic stop of Christner's vehicle after it appeared that he was impaired. Sonic under fire for using cramped cages for pregnant pigs

A new report, released by Animal Equality, identifiedOklahoma-based chain Sonic as a restaurant that continues to use crates for pregnant pigs. Alongside 13 other popular restaurants, Sonic utilizes 'gestation-crates,' which are metal cages used to confine pigs for all or a part of gestation. According to Animal Equality, these cages measure two feet by seven feet, close to the size of the animals' bodies.
