WASHINGTON (TND) — You soon won't be able to get a highly caffeinated drink at Panera. The company is "phasing out" its "Charged Lemonades" at all locations, according to a company spokesperson. Instead, Panera will be adding new "exciting," "trend flavors," "low-sugar" and "low-caffeine" drink options to its menu.
The menu change comes after Panera's caffeinated beverages were blames for the deaths of at least two people that sparked lawsuits.

State College considering 'drink tax' to increase local budget
State College, PA (WJAC) — State College is among municipalities statewide where more money could be poured into the local budget through pouring drinks.

What hunters need to know
Although its not officially hunting and trapping season quite yet, those licenses go on sale Monday and this year there's a change on how you can purchase your antlerless deer license.
6 News spoke with an official from the Pennsylvania Game Commission who says hunters can purchase their antlerless license through the mail like usual or they can now go to a hunting store as well as online.
“This year there’s been a change in the antlerless license process,” said Travis Lau, the Communications Director with the PA Game Commission.

Former Osceola Mills mayor sentenced in shots fired incident, DA says
Clearfield Co., PA (WJAC) — Former Osceola Mills mayor Ida Reams has been sentenced for her involvement in a 2022 shots fired incident outside a local community food bank.
Officials say Reams appeared in court Monday where she was sentenced to serve four months to one year in jail, followed by one-and-a-half years probation.
Reams was arrested in March of 2022 following an altercation in which police say she allegedly fired multiple shots in the direction of two people who were reportedly playing the online game Pokémon Go.

one man dead after motorcycle accident in Bedford County
BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa. — A Blair County man is dead after being thrown from his motorcycle in Bedford County Saturday evening around 9:30, state police say.
According to a press release, Lowell Musselman, 47, was traveling west on Helsel Road in Kimmel Township when he attempted to negotiate a slight right curve.
State police say Musselman's motorcycle began to turn on it's right side as it began to exit the southern edge of the road.

Recent threatening social media posts directed towards the students and staff in the Forest Hills School District have prompted an FBI investigation, according to a press release. SCASD student crowned queen of 2021 Grange Fair
CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — Friday was the opening night of the Grange Fair in Centre County, which included the opening ceremony, truck pulling, an animal dressing contest, line dancing and much more.
The Grange Fair runs through next Saturday.
This year's Grange Fair queen is State College Area high school student Mattee Stoicheff, who was crowned on Wednesday at the fairgrounds in Centre Hall.
She has been coming to the fair since she was an infant and her family has had a tent at the fair for many years.

NJ man killed in crash on PA Turnpike in Somerset Co.
SOMERSET CO, Pa (WJAC) — State police say a New Jersey man was killed early Thursday morning in a crash along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Somerset County.
Troopers say the crash occurred around 1 a.m. Thursday as the driver of a van and a tractor-trailer were exiting towards the southbound Somerset service plaza.
Investigators say the driver of the van failed to slow down in time and rear-ended the tractor-trailer.
