No one injured after car crashes into Blair County salon

Blair Co., PA (WJAC) — 911 officials in Blair County say no one was hurt after a car slammed into a local salon Monday morning. According to dispatchers, crews were called to the Tame Your Mane hair salon, in East Freedom, around 9:30 a.m. for a reported crash. Authorities say despite there being people inside the salon at the time of the incident, no injuries were reported. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. [Read More]

Steelers signing former PSU QB Trace McSorley

Pittsburgh (WJAC) — According to NFL Insider Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly signing former Penn State quarterback Trace McSorley to their practice squad following the injury to starting QB Kenny Pickett. Pickett left Sunday's game in the second quarter with an ankle injury and underwent surgery Monday morning. He is expected to miss several weeks. DeWine signs bill requiring Ohio schools to enact cellphone policies

DUBLIN, Ohio (WSYX) — Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine signed House Bill 250 on Wednesday, requiring schools across the state to enact policies limiting cellphone use by students during school hours. The bill will require all Ohio districts to approve new policies by July 1, about six weeks from now. Dive crews called to search Pittsburgh rivers, help solve cold cases; over 100 cars found

Penn State to issue room and board, meal plan refunds

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa (WJAC) — Penn State announced Wednesday that it will begin issuing refunds to students for room and board costs, as well as for unused meal plan dollars, according to a release on the university's website. University officials say any students who did not return to campus for the remote-learning period will have their refunds processed during the first week of April, and refunds for those students who left campus after the remote-learning period will be processed beginning on April 13.
