Johnstown, PA (WJAC) — On Friday, Johnstown officials released the headlining acts for the 2023 Thunder in the Valley Motorcycle Rally. Famous rock bands Buckcherry and Warrant are among this year's headlining performers. This year marks the 25th anniversary of Thunder in the Valley, which will take place from June 22-25. SCI Benner Township reports inmate death

BELLEFONTE, Pa. (WJAC) — An inmate at State Correctional Institute Benner Township was found unresponsive in his cell Wednesday and later pronounced dead, according to officials. Superintendent Robert Marsh reported that 23-year-old Derric Harsh was found just before midnight and prison staff responded immediately, providing lifesaving measures. Harsh was transferred to Mt. Nittany Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:08 a.m., according to officials. The official cause of death will be determined by the Centre County Coroner’s Office. [Read More]

37 charged in Blair County drug bust

ALTOONA — Attorney General Josh Shapiro said Friday that criminal charges have been filed against 37 people accused of distributing or possessing illegal drugs in Blair County. The charges are the culmination of a yearlong cooperative investigation between the Office of Attorney General, the Blair County Drug Task Force and the Altoona Police Department. The investigation primarily focused on the distribution of heroin and prescription drugs in Blair County. Former President Judge Thomas Kistler was charged with DUI last fall and placed in a special probation program known as ARD. It's a program used for first-time offenders. But now, Kistler is accused of violating the terms of his probation by recently consuming alcohol.
