Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — In Cambria County, the fourth annual Ed Dumm Memorial tractor parade was held Monday in Nicktown.
This year, the parade was held in honor of Vincent "Vinny" Rietscha IV, a local 6-year-old boy who was killed in a DUI crash earlier this year.
We spoke with Vinny’s father about how his family is honored to have the community's support.
Organizers say close to 100 tractors took part in the parade.

Breezewood Hardee's manager, customers react to fire destroying restaurant
BREEZEWOOD, Pa. (WJAC) — 6 News is still learning more about the fire that engulfed a Hardee's restaurant in Bedford County on Saturday. We spoke with the Breezewood Hardee's general manager and some customers about how it happened.
Not much remains of the Hardee's but a smoldering skeleton and debris — with the foam to put out the fire still wet, as of 1pm Sunday. What will be a long cleanup has already begun, with one Hardee's employee sweeping away ashes and rubble.

Chiefs to host Miami Dolphins in freezing playoff game, history favors Kansas City
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (TND) — The Kansas City Chiefs will host the Miami Dolphins in 8-degree Fahrenheit weather Saturday night, raising questions over how the Florida team will fare.
The wind chill is projected to hit –14 degrees with 17 mile per hour winds.
“If we’re playing in any playoff game that isn’t at home, it probably will be cold,” Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said, according to the Associated Press.

How the federal budget is impacting local decisions on unspent COVID relief funding
Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — Millions of dollars in federal COVID relief money remains unused in many communities and counties nationwide, but could that be changing soon due to the federal budget situation?
Federal American Rescue Plan Act funding was approved and allocated to address the negative financial impact of the pandemic.
In Centre County, the county's allotment was close to $31.5 million.
As of early December, officials say 62% of that amount has been spent on everything from helping businesses to various repair projects at county owned buildings, and nearly $12 million remains.

Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology going out of business after 55 years
JOHNSTOWN - Another private for-profit school is closing.
Friday was the last day of business for the Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology in Johnstown and Dubois.
Owner Dan Leaser says closing is the hardest thing he has ever had to do.
"They don't even have a job now, that's crazy," said Desiree Albany, who works nearby.
Both the Johnstown and Dubois locations will no longer be open for business.
Thousands of students have graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology.

Skenes shines in second MLB start; tosses 6 no-hit innings
Pittsburgh Pirates top pitching prospect Paul Skenes was better than advertised in his second major league start on Friday.
Once again facing off against the Chicago Cubs, this time in Wrigley, Skenes struck out the first seven batters he faced and threw six no-hit innings en route to his first MLB victory.
He finished the afternoon throwing 100 total pitches, and striking out 11 total batters.
Skenes' only blemish was a 5th inning walk to first-baseman Michael Busch.

Delaware college student goes on 'antisemitic tirade' at Holocaust memorial: prosecutor

(TND) — A University of Delaware student was arrested after she went on "an antisemitic tirade" and vandalized a Holocaust memorial sponsored by a Jewish student group, according to the Delaware Department of Justice. Legendary former Notre Dame coach Ara Parseghian dies
SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Ara Parseghian, who took over a foundering Notre Dame football program and restored it to glory with two national championships in 11 seasons, has died. He was 94.
University of Notre Dame President Rev. John Jenkins announced in a statement that Parseghian died at home at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Parseghian had recently returned to his home in Granger, Indiana, after spending more than a week in a nursing care facility in South Bend, Indiana.
