Woman killed following early morning, head-on crash on Somerset Pike

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victim of an early morning, head-on crash on Somerset Pike. Lees says 58-year-old Margaret Holdsworth suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries in the crash. 911 officials say first responders were dispatched to the 2600 block of Somerset Pike, around 5:30 a.m. Monday, for the two-vehicle collision. Authorities with the Conemaugh Township Police Department say Holdsworth's vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel and struck an oncoming vehicle. [Read More]

According to the affidavit, police have identified the suspect as 41-year-old Jordan Confer. Richland Township police say officers were dispatched just before 6 a.m., to a residence along Dowling Road, for reports of a suicidal male with gun. CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Centre County woman is sentenced to a state prison in a child abuse case that a doctor says has left the young victim with nearly no chance of having a meaningful recovery. Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have reportedly traded first baseman Carlos Santana to the Milwaukee Brewers.
