Woman killed following early morning, head-on crash on Somerset Pike
Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees has identified the victim of an early morning, head-on crash on Somerset Pike.
Lees says 58-year-old Margaret Holdsworth suffered multiple blunt force trauma injuries in the crash.
911 officials say first responders were dispatched to the 2600 block of Somerset Pike, around 5:30 a.m. Monday, for the two-vehicle collision.
Authorities with the Conemaugh Township Police Department say Holdsworth's vehicle crossed into the opposite lane of travel and struck an oncoming vehicle.

CENTRE COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — A Centre County woman is sentenced to a state prison in a child abuse case that a doctor says has left the young victim with nearly no chance of having a meaningful recovery.
During her sentencing hearing Thursday in Centre County court, Mindy Sue Jackson's struggles with mental health issues were part of the testimony.
But also testifying was a doctor from Geisinger Health who said the infant abused by Jackson, suffered severe brain injuries that’s left her in a near vegetative state.

Pirates trade veteran 1B Carlos Santana to Milwaukee
Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Pirates have reportedly traded first baseman Carlos Santana to the Milwaukee Brewers.
According to Pirates' beat writer Jason Mackey, Pittsburgh will receive shortstop prospect Jhonny Severino in return.
Santana, a 37-year-old veteran, appeared in 94 games this season for Pittsburgh while recording a .235 batting average with 12 homeruns and 53 RBIs.

Gander Mountain store will reopen as Gander Outdoors in Richland Township
RICHLAND TOWNSHIP – CEO Marcus Lemonis said Wednesday that the former Gander Mountain store in Richland Township will reopen as Gander Outdoors.
In a live video on Twitter, Lemonis announced that the Johnstown-based store was one of several scheduled to reopen, including five in Pennsylvania.
"They are starting to open," Lemonis said of the stores. "They will all be open by the end of May."
