OSHKOSH, Wis. (WLUK) — Authorities are investigating a mid-air collision involving two aircrafts at the EAA AirVenture show in Wisconsin on Saturday.
Officials have not said if anyone was injured in the crash.
Dick Knapinski, director of communications for EAA, said it happened at 12:24 p.m. at the south end of the EAA AirVenture flight line at Wittman Regional Airport. PSP gives update on Mifflintown shootout that left one Trooper dead, another injured
DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Pennsylvania State Police have released more details about a deadly shooting that took place Saturday that killed one trooper and injured another.
They say the suspect was also killed.
In a press conference Sunday afternoon, it was announced that the incident began around 11 a.m. in Juniata County at the Lewistown Barracks.
State police said a 2008 Chevrolet pickup registered to Brandon Stine, 38, was observed to be driving through the parking lot of the barracks before getting out of his vehicle and firing several rounds from a long rifle into marked patrol cars before getting back into his vehicle and driving away.

SCI Forest reports first COVID-19 inmate death
HARRISBURG, Pa (WJAC) — Officials with the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections announced the first COVID-19 inmate death at SCI Forest.
Authorities say the inmate, whose name will not be released, was a 65-year-old male with underlying health conditions who passed away at a local hospital on Tuesday.
Officials say he was serving a 10 to 20-year sentence for burglary and had been at the facility since September of this year.

Altoona Area SD will continue virtual learning until teachers are vaccinated
ALTOONA, Pa. (WJAC) — Students in the Altoona Area School District will continue virtual learning for the foreseeable future, officials decided Thursday night.
During Thursday night’s special meeting, the school board approved a plan to return students to hybrid learning two weeks after teachers receive their first rounds of COVID-19 vaccines.
They said the ultimate goal is to get all students back to the classroom full time, but the next step would be a mixture of virtual and in-person learning.

Bedford County man accused of setting fire waives charges
BEDFORD – A Bedford County man accused of starting a fire that caused evacuation of 34 guests at a Bedford County Quality Inn on June 27 waived his charges for court Wednesday, a court official said.
Jerry Adams, 56, of Hyndman, faces 35 counts each of aggravated arson, arson endangering persons, and recklessly endangering another person, along with various other charges, including one count each of arson endangering property-reckless endangerment of inhabited buildings, arson-intent to collect insurance, and arson-inhabited building or structure.

Human remains found in Mifflin County believed to be those of missing MD man
UPDATE | Mifflin County, PA (WJAC) — Authorities with the Calvert County Sheriff's Office say human remains were found Thursday afternoon near the home of 47-year-old Brandon Holbrook, in Brown Township, Mifflin County.
Officials say Holbrook was charged Wednesday with murder in connection to the disappearance of 51-year-old Joseph Anthony Shymanski, of Huntingtown, Maryland.
Police say the remains have not yet been identified but they are believed to belong to Shymanski.

Woman donates $2.2 million to DuBois church
