JOHNSTOWN - Another private for-profit school is closing.
Friday was the last day of business for the Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology in Johnstown and Dubois.
Owner Dan Leaser says closing is the hardest thing he has ever had to do.
"They don't even have a job now, that's crazy," said Desiree Albany, who works nearby.
Both the Johnstown and Dubois locations will no longer be open for business.
Thousands of students have graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Cosmetology.
"When we were on our breaks we would go over there and its sad to see that they are leaving and going out of business and kids they don't really have any other business around here for cosmetology," Albany said.
Leaser says current students will have the choice to continue their education with the Greater Johnstown Career and Technology Center.
Fifteen employees will also be laid off from the academy but the center has agreed to interview all employees for possible openings.
