CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — A Philipsburg man was arrested and charged earlier this week for assaulting and threatening a woman, according to Rockview State Police.
State police say officers were dispatched to a residence along the 400 block of Twin Oak Street in Rush Township on March 31, around 11:30 p.m., after receiving reports of a domestic violence incident.
Corey Wolford, 49, is accused of threatening to shoot a woman, according to state police.
Troopers add that Wolford allegedly advanced towards the woman with a knife while threatening to stab and cut her.
Authorities say that prior to police arriving on scene, Wolford barricaded himself inside a bedroom, and had to be "extricated through a window" in order to be taken into custody.
Wolford faces several charges including aggravated assault with intent of causing bodily injury and making terroristic threats, according to court documents.
Court dockets also show that Wolford was released on bail on April 1, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 6.
